New Scrapbook Layout! Dina Pup

Life with a six-year old means that on occasion, you might take a selfie with a stuffed animal or two! A few weeks ago, my daughter Corinne attended a local fall festival and picked up a cute little marionette puppy which she named Dina.

During a recent trip to I-Hop, Corinne asked if we could take a selfie with Dina. This isn’t the first time that we have taken selfies with various stuffed animals and dolls! It’s sort of our “thang”. 🙂 So here we are…taking a selfie with Dina Pup.

Fun times!

For this layout, I used the gorgeous October 2016 Hip Kit Club kit. I LOVE this kit!!!!

I started by creating a simple background using textured white card stock from American Crafts (not included in the kit) and a bold stripe pattern paper from the Maggie Holmes Gather Collection, which I position to the left side of the layout. To this, I added a strip of navy and white stripe washi tape from the Simple Stories Posh Collection.

Next, I created a band of photos across the layout, mounting the photos with pattern paper from the kit. Here’s a tip: If you are looking to use multiple photos on your layouts, consider resizing your photos. There are a ton of FREE photo editing apps and websites that you can use (you do not need Photoshop). Two of my favorites are PicFrame (iPhone and Android) and Pic Monkey (iMac or PC).

I created clusters of embellishments using wood veneer shapes from the We R Memory Keepers Honey I’m Home Collection, a cardstock camera by Dear Lizzy, and arrows from the Simple Stories Posh Collection. For the title, I used the exclusive Hip Kit Club pink font stickers along with some gold font stickers from Thickers called Cozy. And to add a bit of whimsy to the layout, I placed a chipboard puppy next to the title. This cute little pup is from the Simple Stories Posh Collection. To finish this layout, I added  a few enamel dots, also from the Simple Stories Posh Collection.
