With the start of a new year comes the desire to do more, be more, get more stuff done and make ALL the goals happen! Scrapbookers are not exempt from this.
We have so many project options and a ton of scrappy things to do! From themed projects (think Project Life or December Daily), to photo organization, completing old projects, and cleaning our scrappy spaces, there is no shortage of stuff to do.
But…
BUT…
It is often the case the scrapbookers take on too much. Some of us make awesome creative plans! We start out strong…but quickly burn out. Does this sound familiar?
How about in 2019 we give ourselves a break.
(Say whaaaa Victoria!?)
Think about it.
What would happen if we only selected 2-3 projects to work on this year versus say, a gajillion? What would happen if we gave ourselves PERMISSION to LET GO of the projects that are not finished? What if we only focused on the projects that are truly meaningful to us RIGHT NOW and be okay with that? What if we decided that we are NOT going to do every single themed project – December Daily, Project Life, Day in the Life, memory planning, traveler’s notebooks? (By the way, I love ALL of these projects!)
Sidebar: I should start a podcast or something!
Well, guess what my friends? It’s okay to pull back, reassess, and figure out where your scrappy journey is going to take you this year. Give yourself permission to focus on the projects that fuel your creative soul and let the rest go. Scrapbooking should be fun, relaxing, and enjoyable – NOT stressful!
You don’t have to keep up with the Joneses. 🙂
So, what projects do you want to focus on this year? Give yourself time to think about this…then you go and be creative!
