Summer time is here which means fresh new layouts about fun in the sun, swimming, BBQs, and vacations! I am kicking off summer with this layout I created as the June 2017 guest designer for Cocoa Daisy! I am a little delayed in sharing this one with the Victoria Marie community as I was busy getting my latest class off the ground. (Glad that is over!) This layout features goodies from the Cocoa Daisy June 2017 “Under the Sea” scrapbook kit. Due to manufacturer delays, I was sent just a few items to work with. But that was okay with me – I love the challenge of using fewer items to create an awesome layout!

I began by creating a background using a piece of watercolor acetate paper and layered strips of pattern paper by Pink Paislee diagonally across the page.

Next, I mounted a photo of my daughter and I on a piece of white cardstock and adhered the photo using fun foam.

To the layout I added a tag by Vicki Boutin, a vanilla tag from my stash, cut apart elements from the kit, and a title using a combination of Thickers and mini alphas by Pretty Little Studio.

The entire layout was mounted on a piece of yellow ombre pattern paper and I added enamel dots from my stash for a bit of texture and dimension.
