Hello friends! I am back with another layout. To be honest, I am not a big Halloween scrapper. I tend to scrapbook photos of my daughter every year but I rarely scrapbook photos of myself. This year I decided to create a layout featuring me and my oh so creative and “scary” suburban mom “costume”.
Yes, I know…lame. 🙂
I had a plan to buy a real costume (superhero to be exact), but life got in the way and I simply forgot. My poor kiddo begged for mommy and daddy to dress up – it just didn’t happen. However, all hope wasn’t lost…I wanted to be a bit festive so I purchased an inexpensive long sleeve Halloween t-shirt and earrings from Walmart and called it good.
This was the best I could do!
For this layout I used an older Scraptastic Kit Club Halloween kit (no longer available). Some of the papers and embellishments are about a year old. I created a layered background behind the photo using scrap paper from the kit. All of the layers are mounted on a pattern background of orange skulls and crossbones. To that, I added my photo, a doily, die cuts, enamel dots/shapes, stickers and washi tape from My Mind’s Eye, Authentique, and Pink Fresh Studio.

Happy scrappin!
